Kids Vs Breast Milk

Yesterday night, when I’m breastfeed SQ & my 10 years old nephew suddenly talk to me : -

“Ah Yi, why don’t u nen nen ur baby in bedroom?”
“huh? Why should I nen nen in bedroom?”
“u not bashful meee?”
“uh? Y u think is bashful ler? U eat ur dessert at living hall also wat..””
“different maa..”
“what different is that? U eat food my bb eat food also, some more this bb food r the best food wor..”
“if u nen nen at bedroom then others people cannot see maaa…”
“Then why don’t u take your dessert in bedroom?”
“I got nothing to let ppl see maa..”
“eeee…….if u can catch sight of nen nen then u see laa..”
“I don’t want to see laaa…”

Hmm…should we begin to teach them what is breastfeed & benefit of breast milk at this early stage? I think we should.

I don’t know what is called breast milk & breastfeed until the last semester of my pregnancy. I can tell, if I saw a mother breastfeed b4 this I’m sure will think as what my nephew think lor..

Many kids (especially mother doesn’t bf) don’t know what is breast milk, they only know about formula milk due deep influence of those media advertisement.

I not saying that should teach them the detail info about goodness of BM laa…they not interested and not understand also…just let them know a mother bf her baby is good for both of them, and no need to elude observation. For me the best opportunity to teach them is on my bf time, they will ask whenever they feel curious. And they always curious how come human breast can produce milk one ahh??

And I like the drawing book given by WABA ler..I pass it to my 8 year olds nephew, he know what bf is after painting those draw..just need a little bit explanation, understand liao…
