廿四節令鼓

After blog about the Mountain-Climbing, today blog about another activity that I love at the year of 1993. 1st time visit to an old boy club, been attracted by their 廿四節令鼓 (sorry don't know what its call in english - 24 festival drums guaaa)

Actually their didn't accept female as a member in team..But i really fall in love with this activity liao, so I started my plot immediately after they rejected my application..I attended their training every night..Keep gossip with those member & try to dig some news from them. Be friend with coach & try to gain attention. Paid attention to what coach teach & show him if got chance..

Within 1 month time I successful joined their group liao..hahaa..Since already broke the rule..Another few female come in after that...

This activity attracted me was because of the team work, 24 members must worked in harness on our performance to express the power of drumbeat ..If someone over speed will destroy the team performance, drumbeat sound not complete. Or someone movement abit slow will damage whole team's orderliness & aesthetic feeling..What I learned in this team was consociation with one heart. And another reason was player look smart & cool..hahaa..I really thought of that ler..Every movement every beat just imposing!!

Actually each performance last for few minutes only, but damn fagged after completed..Coz movement is fast, beat r vigorous & gotta pay full concentrated on the speed & rhythm..I lost few kgs in 3 months time..Quite a good lose weight exercise..

Some of us started to create new rhythm & ameliorate movement ..Sometime we reference to Kitaro's Music to steal some idea..And we did created some nice rhythm ..At least for me that is nice..hehee..I can recall the rhythm easily..'Dong Dong Tuck - Dong Dong Tuck - Dong Dong - Tuck Tuck - Dong Dong - Tuck'..hahaa..Just not sure still able to beat that sound or not..

We performed quick alot time liao..And it's earn some money ohh..hehe..Hired by Amway for it's annual dinner & One of the TV3 Chinese New Year 's publicize film..TV3 paid us RM6K for that show, spent whole day at the studio & exhausting our energy liao.. Of coz we didn't take those money, it's automaticly become Old Boy Club Fund.

With the information given by coach I wrote a brief introduction 简介 and origin 緣起 about 廿四節令鼓 in mandarin few years ago. To bad, I'm not good enough to write in english.
