Once upon a time, when I was a fresh graduated. I'm work as a clerk in a small company. usually I'll be the only person in the office.
One day, 1 young girl came to my office and request for survey about their new product...I was too kind to entertaining her...New to social life mah..Very de innocent wan...
After done the survey, she told me their company offer scratch & win contest to thanx Q my co-operation...She kept saying just scratch, no need to PAY for anything..So I mai blur blur scratched lor..after tat baru regret!..
All u should know lah..scratch must win the contest wan lah....I kenot recall wat was the prize liao..something like Vaccum or Air Purifier lah.. She told I was very lucky lah..blablabla..Then called her senior came to my office & congra me..
Few seconds later (maybe they r standby outside liao?)....3 - 4 guys brought along the prizes to my office....After tat I only knew tat gotta pay for fews thousand for it wan....Altho I rejected to pay for the prizes..but them talk & talk..kept advice me to take the GREAT PIZES..and hor..I'm very scared ler..I 1 person they got few person wor..wanna fight oso kenot win lah...
Finally donno wat & how, I paid them few thousand as deposit ...maybe I was too scared & innocent to believe them liao..hmmm....(OK lah..I'm stupid lah)....
After they left, I kenot get them oso..call h/p no answer..call their office no such number.. ...Yalar..I won a cheated contest liao lah!! :'(
Actually cheat like this always happen wan...I changed few jobs..but still meet the contest like tat ler...quite alot of time liao...Paid few hundred to learnt tat..U tot I'll kena cheat again meh??? Huhhh...

aiyo, I also saw this few times liao, one time my fren kena, one time my MIL kena. They even said they can ask lawyer to sue you cuz u promised to buy if you you scatch but no win.

i also kena but i said i dunwan to buy :P they cant say anything so they just go, Lucky me!!! They keep say so many thing..say i very lucky lar if dunwan the gift very sayang lar.
I keep telling them all the item i oledi got what for i buy somemore to keep ar.I'm not so stupid ler and i know 1+2dad must scold me kaw kaw if i buy the thing :(
These days they send letter to your house ask you to go and collect your "prize" at their shop. Like MrsT says, theres no free lunch lah. Just ignore them or scold them kaw kaw before you get scolded kaw kaw lah.
a few hundred dollar ma lucky lo. some kena few ribu ohh!!
hehe anyway, laki me didnt kena such prize be4 :p

Ah....my mother also kena loh. But then hoh, luckily she is smart enough to insist that she will only make the payment once she received the prize. Not bad also....must know how to talk to them loh....Else maybe they will take your money and then cabut!!

a skinny boy (with kesian story and kesian face) will come and give u a 'free' pot. Very expensive one. Once u let him inside da house, he refuse to leave and want you to pay for his 'scholarship' for 2 years. Don't know how much per month aldy..

Sigh!!! I work in market research (survey) industry for 8 years, of which 6 years with research agencies. This kind of con case really make our life very difficult. When we are doing genuine market survey people don't believe us anymore. Tell you what, real market research agencies don't give out gifts based on 'chances'. If they give gifts (we call it token of appreciations, internally = 'incentives'), it will be no condition - everyone gets the same thing. Usually cheapo things like towel, pen, mug, calculator, mini fm radio, etc.
OK, I will blog about market research one day... :D
lzbone, yalor..I think those ppl make survey mkt difficult lor..I still will cooperation with ppl wanna do survey lah..but very de yimchim liao..scare kena again mah..
